About the presenter
Renee has been teaching for 11 years. Renee has taught in elementary, middle, and high school settings, as well as working with students in hospital and home environments. She has taught in the self-contained, resource, and co-teaching settings serving a variety of disability categories throughout her career. As an itinerant teacher in Cherokee County, she helps teachers provide curriculum and environmental access, as well as assistive technology to students with physical and health disabilities. Renee has her B.S. in Special Education from Georgia Southern University (2006), her M.Ed. in Physical and Health Disabilities from Georgia State University (2012), and her Ed.S. in Instructional Technology from Kennesaw State University (2014). Renee is currently working on her Education Doctorate in K-16 Technology Integration at Johns Hopkins University.
Renee enjoys presenting to groups of teachers in order to share her enthusiasm and love for technology and learning. She was the Professional Learning Liaison for two years at Laurel Ridge Elementary School in Dekalb County. Renee has presented at several conferences throughout the state of Georgia.
